Clash League NZ has been selected as a recipient of the Thriving Communities Grant from Auckland Council. Here's what we're building next and what it means for our community.
We are so honoured to announce that Clash League has been selected as a recipient of the Thriving Communities Grant from Auckland Council!
With their support alongside I AM Mangere, we'll be delivering:
💜 Starter packs for schools and community groups
💜 A referee programme
💜 Youth STEM workshops
💜 A reward system for staff and volunteers
💜 Pop-up events and new clubs across the wider Auckland region
Community has always been at the heart of what we do. Whether it's the fun stuff or the nitty gritty, we've always been focused on creating safe and inclusive spaces that we wish were around when we were younger.
So here's a digital "cheers!" to everyone who's shown up for us along the way. We're just getting started!
What does this look like moving forward?
We're actively working to improve accessibility and quality across the board. With the Aotearoa Beyblade Nationals on the horizon, we'll be ramping up with a series of community-focused events designed to give everyone a chance to get involved and find their feet, leading into the Auckland Beyblade Open!
New Clubs and Pop-ups
We've been in talks with local groups across Auckland about hosting events that create more accessible spaces for people to play, connect and compete.
Referee Programme and Reward System
Refs (aka Judges) are a vital part of our hobby and an awesome opportunity to learn fair play, consistency and resilience. Through our app, you'll be able to track your progress, get Clash certified and earn rewards like subsidised or free event entry and more awesome goodies!
STEM Workshops
Ever wanted to make your own team t-shirt? Deck box? Maybe even your own stadium? We'll be running community workshops to help upskill our community the fun way!
Starter Packs
We'll be creating starter packs to help schools and community groups start their own clubs and get playing straight away.
Sounds like a bit of you?
